The east section of the North Bank Linear Park runs from Rural to Mill Avenue. The sandy beach is a very popular venue for rowers, kayakers and kids that want to play in the sand. It's a great place to watch small fish in the water.

Many commuters use this multi-use path to get from all points north on the Indian Bend Wash greenbelt to their Phoenix or Tempe offices. Four sand volleyball courts are located just east of the Mill Avenue Bridge.

The west section of the North Bank Linear Park runs from west of Mill Avenue Bridges to Priest Road. It has artist trees with the names of donors in two locations, two shaded ramadas, multi-use path, benches, and interpretive signs. The Light Rail Bridge over Town Lake is the first element noticed on this side of the lake. The colors will change as trains pass over the top. From the west dam to Priest Road you can view the completed U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Habitat Restoration project in the Salt River.
