As a participant in the Fantasy of Lights Boat Parade, you are automatically entered into the competition to win some great cash prizes! The theme for this year is Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree! Your unit number/burgee must be visible on the port side of your boat to be judged.

A panel of local community members will use the following criteria to determine the winners: originality, technical design, and entertainment value, to maximize the parade theme. Overtly commercial units that do not conform to the entertainment theme will be disqualified.

This year, cash prizes of $500 each will be awarded to the best units in 6 separate categories:

  • Best Use of Lights
  • Best New Entry
  • Best Special Effects
  • Best Music
  • Best Themed
  • Best Originality

New this season, the award for 'Most Jars of Peanut Butter Collected'. The winner of this award will be presented with a one-of-a-kind trophy from United Food Bank. You can make a difference in the lives of hungry, low-income families and individuals who turn to United Food Bank for help this holiday season by collecting jars of peanut butter and donating them at the Fantasy of Lights Boat Parade Captain's Meeting.
