Back by popular demand, here is another plate of downtown Tempe’s scrumptious special dishes!
Downtown Tempe has a plethora of food options and most are primarily from local, small business owners who are eager to dish you out a plate. We hope that highlighting some of their signature dishes will make your mouth water and will lead you to come to downtown Tempe!

Snakes & Lattes
Who doesn’t love a big plate of crispy wings? At Snakes & Lattes you can choose between buffalo, sweet barbeque, or a special spicy Asian sauce, depending on your heat tolerance (we like it spicy). On the side, you get a cup of ranch for the cool dipping action, with some celery and carrot sticks to help cool off the tongue.
Snakes & Lattes has not one, but TWO dog friendly patios and over 900 board games to play while you enjoy your wings (and maybe a tall glass of beer). Just remember to wipe off those fingers before you play!
Kung Fu Tea
Sometimes all you want is a nice, refreshing drink during that long lunch hour, after work or even after a night out.
Stop by Kung Fu Tea for their delicious Matcha Milk Cap. This is a blend of creamy matcha topped with a somewhat salty milk cap for those sweet & salty lovers. Is your mouth watering yet? BONUS! If you’re looking for something extra sweet, dig in their freezer for some paletas. They are a fan favorite!
Mellow Mushroom
Pizza is life! Or… it is for most people. Mellow Mushroom offers some unique and tantalizing pizza options that can please almost any palate.
One of their most signature pizzas is their Holy Shiitake Pizza. It starts out with a flavorful olive oil and garlic base and then topped with roasted shiitake, button and portobello mushrooms. From there, they add caramelized onions, mozzarella cheese, and their creamy MonteAmoré® cheese. When it gets to your table, it is finished with fresh chives, shaved parmesan, garlic aioli swirl and a quick spritz of black truffle oil.
Now, that’s one intricate pizza!! Yummy, yummy!
Med Fresh Grill
A big bowl of flavorful Mediterranean food can comfort the soul and the make those taste buds dance. At Med Fresh Grill in downtown Tempe, you have five delicious options of Euro Bowls that are sure to please everyone in the family.
Each bowl comes with a variety of fresh ingredients and that unique Turkish flare. You can choose from their Chicken Gyro, Beef Gyro, Grilled Fish, Falafel or Grilled Chicken Kebab Bowls. Everything is made fresh and the meat is flame grilled with their signature spices and herbs.
Rula Bula
Bacon, mac & cheese and a hamburger… ALL IN ONE? Time to cash in on that cheat day and indulge in this masterclass burger at Rula Bula Irish Pub & Restaurant.
The Mac Attack is truly the ultimate comfort food. Rula Bula uses Angus beef and adds cheddar cheese, caramelized onions, crispy applewood smoked bacon, along with their baked mac ‘n cheese, all on a lightly toasted bun. The Mac n’ Cheese is made fresh and based on a traditional 1920’s cottage recipe. Along with the noodles is a mix of Irish cheddar cheese and fresh cream. Simple yet delectable.
Sparky’s Old Town Creamery
Ice cream! Ice cream! We all scream for ice cream! (We all know you sang that while reading it)
It doesn’t matter the weather; we all crave ice cream from time to time. Why not head over Sparky’s Old Town Creamery and grab a homemade ice cream sandwich? They take fresh baked cookies, warm them up, and place your choice of ice cream between the two cookies. This gooey treat is perfect for any day, any time, and any occasion.

Do you love food that takes both hands to eat? Then Hot N’ Juicy Crawfish's Two Handed Po’ Boys are for you!
We highly recommend sinking your teeth (and hands) into their signature Crawfish Po’ Boy. It’s a huge, fresh roll stuffed with lightly battered crawfish that lays on a bed of fresh, crispy lettuce, tomatoes and whatever else you want. Just seeing a picture of this sandwich makes your mouth water!
