It’s hard to imagine that dragon boat racing, which has its origins as an ancient folk ritual in southern China dating back over 2,000 years, would end up on a man-made lake in the heart of the Arizona desert. After making its debut as a modern international sport in Hong Kong in 1976, dragon boat racing has grown into a global phenomenon.
