📚 Lecture: “Does the Future Need Us?” An exploration of humanity's place in a technologically evolving world.
🎤 Speaker: Andrew Maynard, PhD, is a professor at Arizona State University where he directs the Future of Being Human initiative. Trained as a physicist, he's spent the past two decades exploring how emerging technologies are transforming what it means to be human—and how we can all be part of shaping what comes next. He's advised policymakers, worked with the World Economic Forum, and written for outlets from The Washington Post to Slate. His latest book, co-authored with Jeff Abbott, is AI and the Art of Being Human.
The night is designed as a three-part talk experience, with guided table discussions between each chapter, so you can engage with the ideas and connect with the people around you.
