Portals are immersive spaces that connect people separated by distance and difference.

Throughout the month of March, visit the Portal in downtown Tempe to come face-to-face and talk with people from around the world that you would otherwise never meet. Portals connect people separated by distance and difference for conversation, education, collaboration, and play. Our local curator will be on site to inspire your conversations where you will make connections and dispel myths about other cultures.

It's free! Visit as many times as you'd like. Each visit will be a different experience when you connect with different people from around the world.

There are two ways to visit the portal:

Register for free online (this guarantees you a spot):

Just walk up! Walkups are welcome during portal operating hours, you might just have to wait if someone else has a reservation.

In The Portal You Will...

Play and Connect

Launch conversations on anything from "What music do you like?" to discussions on immigration, and diversity and inclusion.

Learn and Teach

Practice a new language with native speakers or perform for a worldwide audience!
