Game Day in Downtown Tempe

Football is in the air—can you feel it? Fall means game days are back in Downtown Tempe, from Sun Devil Saturdays to NFL Sundays and plenty of football in between.

On ASU home game days, you can see it everywhere—the maroon and gold lining the streets, fans making their way toward Mountain America Stadium and tailgates getting started around downtown. And when Sunday rolls around, Downtown Tempe has plenty of places to grab a seat, order some food and catch your NFL team on the big screen.

No matter who you're cheering for, half the fun of football season is figuring out where you're watching it. Here's your guide to game days in Downtown Tempe.

ASU Home Game Schedule

Saturdays hit a little differently when the Sun Devils are playing at home. Here are this season's home games so you can plan accordingly:

Sun Devil Saturdays

Heading to an ASU home game? Start the day downtown.

Sparky's Touchdown Tailgate is located on College Avenue between 6th and 7th Streets and is hosted by the ASU Alumni Association three hours before kickoff on home game days. Enjoy live entertainment, a beer garden and family fun. Admission is free, food & drink available for purchase. 

Gear Up for a Sun Devil Game

Before you hit the eating & drinking tablegating experience, you'll want to dress the part. Downtown Tempe also has several places for you to load up on ASU gear before you make your way to one of our restaurants to watch the game.

Cactus Sports | 📍514 S Mill Ave

Located just south of 5th Street on Mill Avenue, Cactus Sports has a sea of maroon and gold in their jam-packed store of all things ASU. You can get shirts, key chains, masks, sweaters, and vintage, old school ASU merchandise. It's a great place to get your clear bag for the game (see ASU Bag Policy). Take a trip and explore the shop for your own ASU treasures.
