Gio's Organic Coffee in Downtown Tempe

GiO’s Organic Coffee is now open in Downtown Tempe, serving delicious Peruvian coffee, tea and an assortment of fresh-made goods.

Tucked inside Mill Ave Shops, the café opened in August 2025 in the space formerly occupied by Desert Roots. The newly renovated interior is bright and welcoming, with both indoor seating and a covered outdoor patio.

When we stepped in, we met Giovanna and were greeted with a warm smile.  With family in Peru, GiO's Organic Coffee has been producing organic, fair-trade coffee for more than 100 years in the high mountain regions of Villa Rica, where rich soil produces beans with chocolaty, nutty and fruity notes.

In addition to exceptional coffee, GiO’s offers fresh breakfast and lunch options, homemade baked goods and wholesale coffee beans for enjoying at home.

The grand opening celebration is set for Friday, Aug. 15, 2025 at 4:00 p.m.
