Looking for a fresh cut, a pop of color, or the perfect balayage? Meet Hair by Jada, a new business now open in West 6th. Jada, who has been behind the chair for 9 years, officially opened her salon in Downtown Tempe on July 1, 2025. We caught up with her to check out her new space and get the inside scoop on her services. It was clear from the get go that she has the experience and passion for her work and making her clients look and feel their best!
When did you open your salon?
I opened my location on July 1, 2025.
Why Downtown Tempe?
I chose Downtown Tempe because of the energetic, college town vibes. I love the energy here and it already feels like the perfect fit.
What services do you offer?
I do women’s and men’s cuts, colors, toner/glaze, highlights, and balayage.
What’s your signature service?
Definitely balayage. I love the versatility of it, and working with caramels, blondes, and other variations of color.
Why do you love this specialty?
Balayage is beautiful but also low-maintenance, which makes it perfect for busy professionals and college students.
How do you want your clients to feel after leaving your chair?
Happy and good about themselves! I’m a strong listener and want my clients to feel comfortable opening up while they’re in my chair.
What hair trends are you loving right now?
Curtain bangs and long layers are my current favorites.
What products are a must-have in Arizona?
Hair oil, a good leave-in conditioner, and a volume spray for roots.
