Best Holiday Photo Spots in Downtown Tempe

Happy Holidays! There's a bit of extra magic sparkle that's sprinkled throughout Downtown Tempe this 2025 holiday season. Scattered throughout the district are festive installations that make the perfect backdrop for holiday memories. Capture the spirit of the season, or the mood of the evening, at these can't-miss photo spots in Downtown Tempe

Photo Spot 1: Located just outside of Eat Daily Jam, located at 3rd & Mill

Have a seat in the big chair, and enjoy the lights of the candy cane arch and swirly candies. Located directly outside of Daily Jam at 3rd & Mill, it's located in the heart of Tempe and just steps from amazing food choices. Grab breakfast at Daily Jam, or a quick lunch at Sexy Burger, Poke 2U or Masala Maniac, or have an elevated Italian meal at Caffe Boa, located just around the corner. 

Photo Spot 2: Located just outside of Devil's Hideaway at 4th & Mill

New this year, we have another festive tree in the district! This whimsical tree is the perfect backdrop to any photo, and is located just outside of Devil's Hideaway at 4th and Mill (on the east side of Mill). If you are here for the evening, why not check out Devil's Hideaway for a quick drink or bite to eat? You may find your hands feeling idle in a secret bar experience tucked away inside. 

Photo Spot 3: Located at the corner of 5th and Mill, by the Post Office

This feature named 'Sundae' is perfectly located next to Sparky's Ice Creamery. Grab your photo, then head next door to get a scoop or two, because you deserve it! 

Photo Spot 4: Located at 699 S Mill Ave (near the Bank of America)

A fun surprise is in store at 699 S. Mill Avenue. After you grab your photo, stop by the new Proof Bread and pick up one of their season favorites (pumpkin anyone?) or hop across the street to eat at Zipp's, Prince St. , Fat Tuesday or more!

Photo Spot 5: Located at Flower Power Park (7th and Mill)

Say hello to this whimsical walk through photo backdrop. It lights up at night and is perfect for a quick selfie or family photo. Located directly adjacent to the Westin, stop by and enjoy a meal or quick drink at Skysill Rooftop bar, the tallest open-air rooftop bar in Arizona. 

Photo Spot 6: Located at the corner of University & Mill (near Filthy Animal)

Take a stroll down to University and Mill for the Candy Cane Arch and gift boxes. This light up candy sparkles day and night and makes a perfect backdrop to any photo. Head next door to enjoy happy hour or a meal at Filthy Animal, connected cocktail bar Drop Dead Gorgeous, or a low key brew at our favorite dive bar University Sports Grill. 

Photo Spot 7: The 36 foot Tree at Centerpoint Plaza (outside of AMC & Pedal Haus)
