Phoenix Gay Men’s Chorus (PHXGMC) is thrilled to perform Born to Be Brave, a Musical Celebration of Diversity and Resilience! Born To Be Brave is a high-energy musical production about 5 people auditioning for the Phoenix Gay Men’s Chorus. This diverse group of characters spans the spectrum of ages, ethnic backgrounds, and gender identification. Their powerful stories woven with the beautiful music of the Phoenix Gay Men’s Chorus and Harmonic Vibrations are guaranteed to make you laugh, make you cry, and elicit JOY & PRIDE! On the stage with our 5 characters are 70+ singers, 3 dance troupes, an instrumental combo, video production, and sets that will ignite the stage with an amazing performance. Musical selections include original work by Eric Lane Barnes, from Broadway’s Dear Evan Hansen, Hamilton, Prom, and High School Musical, along with amazing music as performed by Justin Bieber, Kate Bush, the Glee cast, Crowded House, Lady Gaga, One Republic, Bruno Mars, Cyndi Lauper, and Disney’s Kelly MacDonald.
