Happy Father's Day to all you Dad's out there!
Father's Day is Sunday, June 19, 2022 and there is no better place to spend it than in Downtown Tempe. In fact, there are so many things going on in Downtown Tempe for Father's Day that your Dad will crown you his favorite offspring just for bringing him downtown for the day. Bookmark this page - we've created a Father's Day Itinerary just for you to knock Dad's sock's off (because giving Dad another pair of socks is so yesterday).
Tip: There is FREE PARKING on Sundays in the 201 S. Ash Parking Garage as well as the street metered parking spots!
Start the morning at Morning Squeeze, 690 S. Mill Avenue. Morning Squeeze is raising a glass to Dad's this Father's Day with something they know Dad's like. On Sunday, June 19 from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., this groovy breakfast and lunch spot will offer special beermosas for Pops for $5. This bubbly blend of orange juice and Modelo Especial is sure to please.
Just the Right Cut at Great Clips, 740 S. Mill Avenue. You want Dad to look great on Father's Day so after breakfast, stroll over to Great Clips for a great $12.99 haircut with this Father's Day coupon. They'll clean up all that random hair that Dads tend to grow as they get older. Lookin' sharp Dad!
Help Dad solve a riddle at Escape Rooms Tempe, 414 S. Mill Avenue, Suite 112. While Dad is getting his haircut, call Tempe Escape Rooms at (480) 666-5550 and make a reservation for 1 of their 5 escape room experiences that keep you completely immersed in the environment (think Pharaoh's Tomb, an Island, a Streetcar, Jail or Attic) while solving the puzzle to escape.
By now, Dad will be ready for lunch and he has some great choices. First up, is the new Foch Cafe & Bistro at 21 E. 6th Street, #146. Enjoy sweet potato lasagna, a juicy burger or Insta-worthy Charcuterie. Foch is offering Dad's first draft beer for $1. Dad will be so proud of you for watching your budget with this deal. Dad not a beer guy? A good second choice would be the Summer Sampler at Sauce Pizza & Wine, 705 S. Myrtle Avenue. One pizza, one salad and 2 glasses of wine for just $27 (we recommend the Watermelon & Arugula Salad).
Stop by the Downtown Tempe Juneteenth Celebration at Centerpoint Plaza (on 7th Street, just west of Mill Avenue). On Sunday, June 19 from 7 - 10 pm, this celebration of Black Joy is a free event featuring interactive education, live music (Walt Richardson & Deejay Panic), a Black-Owned Market, dance, and a Black Art Showcase complete with live art in the making. Food trucks and a beer/wine garden will have Dad thanking his lucky stars that you are his kid!
After strolling through the Juneteenth Celebration, head into Pedal Haus Brewery at 730 S. Mill Avenue. Have they got a deal for Dad! It's a 10oz Prime Rib and a baked potato meal for $29 (usually $35, available while supplies last). Dads will also receive their 1st beer for $1 and Dads get half off merchandise, growlers & growler fills all day long.
