Deck the Halls and fa-la-la-la-LOCAL holiday fun in downtown Tempe
Downtown Tempe is your holiday destination this season, with holiday parades, Santa, tree lighting, festive lights, holiday shopping, live music, and more. For generations, families across Arizona have enjoyed the long-standing tradition of attending Tempe's holiday events.
Here are two community events happening this weekend you don't want to miss:
Fantasy of Lights Boat Parade & Fireworks Show
Join us for Arizona's most unique holiday tradition- the Fantasy of Lights Boat Parade and Fireworks Show. Head to Tempe Town Lake for some holiday magic, that includes a parade, holiday shopping, entertainment and more. The fun kicks off at 4:00pm with a holiday market at Tempe Beach Park. You can shop from dozens of local and small businesses and treat yourself (or others) to unique, one-of-a-kind gifts. Festive eats and treats are also available for purchase, and you can kick back and relax while listening to live music on the Boat Parade Stage. The holiday boat parade starts at 6:00 p.m. and includes 50+ festive, lighted boats of all shapes and sizes. The boats will parade around Tempe Town Lake and are quite the sight to see. Stay for the whole evening and don't miss the fireworks show at 8:00 p.m. over Tempe Town Lake, and then continue your holiday shopping, grab a bite to eat and enjoy the rest of the evening before the event concludes at 9:00 p.m.

2nd Sundays on Mill- Holiday Market
This month's Second Sundays event is a special holiday edition YULE LOVE that features an outdoor holiday market with 75 Arizona vendors. Whether you’re buying on a budget or looking for something unexpected, we have you – and your shopping lists covered. Baked goods, refurbished + original art, pet presents, live music, holiday street entertainment that includes a roaming GRINCH, Selfies with Santa and street caroling, plus outdoor jumbo games, yoga and fitness classes, mini golf, Furious Styles Crew and plenty of other festive fun – HO HO HO! With something for everyone and great Arizona weather- it’s an event you don’t want to miss. OH WHAT YUM! Don’t forget to show that local love and dine at one of the many Downtown Tempe local restaurants and then shop at a local retailer. Admission is free, dogs are welcome too!
